Ann Arbor, MI — Intrinsic Bodywork, a new manual therapy practice in Ann Arbor, is now welcoming clients seeking a thoughtful, gentle approach to healing. Founded by Stacy Kelly, a massage therapist with over 20 years of experience, Intrinsic Bodywork offers specialized care through visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and neural manipulation—subtle, integrative techniques that support the body’s innate ability to restore balance and ease.

Rather than focusing solely on muscles and joints, Intrinsic Bodywork works with the body’s internal systems, including the organs, nervous system, and connective tissues. Visceral manipulation gently addresses restrictions in the organs and surrounding tissues that can contribute to pain, postural strain, and chronic symptoms. Craniosacral therapy provides a deeply calming experience that supports the central nervous system and is often helpful for stress, headaches, and persistent tension. Neural manipulation focuses on improving mobility and communication within the nervous system, benefiting many clients with nerve-related pain or long-standing, complex conditions.

“My work is really about listening—both to my clients and to their bodies,” says Stacy. “When we gently address restrictions in the nervous system or internal tissues, people often notice changes not just in pain, but in how they move, breathe, and feel in their everyday lives.”
