What a bodywork session looks like

At the heart of my bodywork is a modality called visceral manipulation (VM). This is a form of manual therapy that focuses on the internal organs, their environment, and their influence on the body's structural and physiological functions. These techniques have been shown to improve function and mobility of your digestive, urogenital, lymphatic, musculoskeletal and nervous systems. You would be surprised how often addressing the tightness and restriction around an organ - with the intent of improving the organ's function - helps resolve stubborn, chronic muscle tension.

Everyone has a unique set of circumstances that has led to their feeling unwell. As such, I also utilize a wide variety of other modalities and techniques into my work as needed. In addition to VM work, we will likely incorporate aspects of craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy and herbal applications, and other manual therapy techniques. This integrative approach allows the best opportunity in addressing your pain and chronic conditions.
